How To Prequalify Sales Leads - UMG Style

Making The Most Out Of Your List

Any successful Internet Marketer will tell you that "the money is in the list." The list, or sales leads list, is simply a list of peoples names along with their contact information such as email address, and / or telephone number.

The purpose of all of your Internet advertising such as placing pay per click (PPC) ads, optimizing your website for the search engines (SEO), and and whatever offline advertising you may be doing is to build your sales leads list.

Unfortunately for us, just having a huge sales leads list doesn't mean we're going to sell tons of product and make a ton of money. There is an intermediate step between attracting a sales lead and making a sale... Prospecting.

Prospecting

Prospecting in simple terms is the process by which you contact your sales leads and work with them to determine if your product meets their needs. Often times, the process of prospecting is called building a relationship.

I will be writ ting a prospecting guide soon. Be sure to subscribe for updates to this topic.

Pre-qualification - The Internet is Your Friend

In live sales, it is very easy for a sales person to research their target market, figuring out who needs their product, and then pitching their product to customers who will most likely buy.

Doing this on the Internet however is much trickier. Often times, you have less than 7 seconds to capture the attention of the person who comes to your site, or who reads your email. To make things more difficult, you may have done the best job possible targeting your ad campaign and still have random people looking at your ad.

However, all is not lost. There are many tools available for you to pre-qualify your sales leads so that you can spend most of your time prospecting the most appropriate lead.

Here is one method I use, and it is so effective that I can't believe everyone doesn't use it.

How To Pre-qualify Sales Leads - UMG Style

The process is very simple. You will need the following resources:

  1. A lead capture / Squeeze page
  2. An auto responder service.
  3. Some HTML knowledge
  4. An HTML editor

If you are unfamiliar with these marketing tools, please take a moment to check out the Internet Marketing & Business Development Program at UMG

Here's how the process works.
  1. On your lead capture page, place the auto responder form. You should only capture the lead's name and email address.
  2. On the auto responder thank you page (the page where the lead is directed after filling out the form), add your thank you message and how to get any freebies you offered
  3. (Here's where you pre-qualify)
Create another auto responder form that works like a survey. Here you will capture the lead's name, phone number, address, and email address. You will then add a 5 to 10 question survey that is related to the product you are trying to sell

Sound Simple?

The preceding example gives you the nuts and bolts of pre-qualiyfing your leads online.

You will need to optimize your double opt-in process and your thank you pages so that the lead does not get confused.

If you use a high-end auto responder such as Aweber, you can setup auto responder rules to have the user unsubscribe from you unqualified leads list once they complete the qualification form.

Want Step By Step Details?

I know right now many are thinking that this trick sounds good, but have no idea how to implement it. I highly recommend you go review the Internet Marketing & Business Development Program at UMG and invest in an online marketing education.

Converting Sales Leads: Tips For Inflating Your Bank Account

Part 1: Everything You Need To know About Leads

Affiliate
Leads, MLM Leads, Network Marketing Leads.

No matter what you call them, your online business is going to need sales leads. A sales lead is the identity of a person or entity potentially interested in purchasing a product or service. Lead generation represents the first step in the sales process.

Waisting Your Traffic.

Many internet marketers are unware that the purpose of attracting visitors to their website should be to generate sales leads. When a user first arrives at a website, or sees a splash page on a traffic exchange, they should be compelled by the ad to leave their contact information. Attempting to make a sale directly from your splash pages and capture pages is a big mistake, and a huge waste of valuable traffic.

Very Quick Overview Of The Sales Process
  1. Generate Sales Leads - Attract people to your advertisments and capture their contact information.
  2. Move Sales Leads to Sales Prospects - Systematically screen sales leads for pertinent information such as product applicability, availability of funding, and time frame for purchase. Converting leads into prospects is entry point of the sales funnel.
  3. Sales - When the prospect makes a purchase, this is called a conversion. The ratio of sales leads that convert into sales is called the conversion ratio.

Different Types of Leads

Real Time Leads

Real time leads are amazingly effective for individuals building a home-based business such as a franchise or MLM. These leads contain names of and the means to contact individuals interested in purchasing a business opportunity.

Real time leads are differentiated from traditional business leads by the methods in which they are harvested. Traditionally, business leads were generated by a MLM or franchise owner cold-calling on individuals or by business / social networking. Real time leads are harvested via websites targeting MLM / Franchise opportunity seekers. Individuals interested in such business seek out information on the web, choose opportunities best suited to themselves and fill out a form requesting contact from those selling the business opportunities.

Opt-in In Leads

Opt-in leads are similar to Real Time Leads in that they are generated by individuals seeking home based business opportunities via the internet. These leads are a resource for individuals building network marketing (NM), MLM, and franchise businesses.

Opt-in Leads should have at the very least the opportunity seeker’s full name, postal address, email address, phone number and time zone. One extremely effective way to move a lead to a prospect in one easy step is to prequalify them. This means that your questionaire shouldinclude the type of home based business, how many hours a week, level of interest, desired income and how much the prospect wants to make from the business opportunity.

Another differentiator between Opt-in and Real Time Leads is how they are best used. Since Real Time Leads are seconds old, the opportunity seeker and provider can contact each other immediately. This being the situation, phone contact is best. Since Opt-in Leads are usually around 72 hours old they are best suited for email campaigns – but still can be used as phone leads.

Giving Your Leads Generation A Serious Boost

The fastest and most effective way for a marketer without a huge sales list to begin prospecting is to buy sales leads from a reputable lead generation service. I have purchased sales leads from several online leads sources, and based on conversion ratios, the best online source I have found comes from company named Total Leads.

I recently purchased 50 Telephone Verified Opt-in Leads (these are leads that have been pre-qualified and are very close to becomming sales prospects), and 5,000 Opt-In Email leads from NetworkLeads.com.

These leads were prospected for an education in developing and marketing an online business. Of the 50 telephone leads, 16 people converted into actual sales (just over 33%!), and of the 5,000 Opt-In email leads, 147 converted (just over 3%). My typcial conversion ratio for leads which I generate and get into my autoresponder series is just over 7%. Based on these numbers I highly recommend taking a look at a quality lead generation service such as PM Marketing by Total Leads.

In Part 2...

I will show you 9 simple ways to convert phone leads into sales.

how do I get more traffic to my website

Here's How You Can Get More Traffic To Your Website At Will
by
Steve Warshaw

Top Internet Guides Senior Contributor

I spend at least 90% of my free time as an internet marketer. In the 3 years that I have worked this business, I have developed a couple of easy methods for attracting people to my sites and making some nice cash while doing so. The strategy I am bout to reveal can literally be used by anyone to market their niche product and get decent amounts of customers coming to their website. If that wasn't good enough news, this method will not cost you a dime, and you do not have to sign up for any affiliate programs (if you have a product already) nor purchase any products.

I call this method F.T.T. or Fast Targeted Traffic. I have used this method over and over again to create small but fast and consistent income streams for high quality products. In fact, just last month my fiance told me she wanted a new pair of Christian Louboutin shoes (very expensive), so I taught her this method, had her find an affiliate program for a product she likes and put her to work. 3 weeks later, she had her new pair of $1,100 shoes.

How You Can Make F.T.T Work
F.T.T. is a combination of article marketing, blog marketing, and social bookmarking...

But...

I am going to teach you a method of using these marketing tools in an ingenious way that nobody else is teaching.

F.T.T. Tip #1 - Figuring Out Which Sites In Which You Can Create Content that The Search Engines Index Fastest

Just about all of the Internet Marketing Guru's will tell you that you need to write articles and post them so you can get backlinks on your site. This of course boosts your page rank on sites such as Live.com, and Google.com. They might also tell you that if you give permissions for your article to be redistributed, that some other site owners may post the article on their site and get you more backlinks. This is all well and good, but I'm more interested in getting traffic to MY website NOW, and I think you might be more interested in that too.

The most effective way of accomplishing this, is to find out which websites the search engines index the fastest, and then find a way to get your content onto that site.

I have found that Google will index:
  1. http://www.digg.com in about 7 hours
  2. http://www.ezinearticles.com in about 2 days
  3. http://www.goarticles.com in about 3 days.
I am currently running some tests on other social bookmarking sites such as del.icio.us, squidoo.com, and stumbleupon.com. I'm testing 18 different websites against Google and the other search engines, and I will be putting together that report in the next month, so check back often.

To summarize the first secret, you need to test (or just use my list) which websites get indexed the most often by the search engines, and then get content on those sites that have links back to your website. Honestly though, the three I provided already work amazingly well on Google, and you can see a great increase in traffic and sales just by using those.

F.T.T. Tip #2 - Getting Your Content On The Google's First Page As Fast As Possible

This tip is the key to the entire F.T.T. system. The way to get your content to the first page of search results on Google is to target exact match (more on this in a minute) keyword phrases that return 7,500 results or less (if you can get under 500 - 1000 that would be great!) . This may sound difficult, but I promise it's not. Here's how.

Let's say you started working out at a gym, and became interested in body building. So, let's do a quick search on bodybuilding:

Notice the " marks around the word bodybuilding. This is how to do an exact search which returns optimized results.

Now Take a look at the right side of the picture. See where it says "Results 1 - 10 of about 6,030,000"

This means that there are over 6 million websites that contain the exact phrase "bodybuilding."

So let's take a look at a much more specific example. Remember, the more specific your keywords, the higher the quality of the traffic that comes to your site will be. For this example, lets try "How to start bodybuilding"

Notice how the number of results is now less than 7,000. This is good, now we have a keyword phrase to target for our article and our blog posts.

Interestingly enough, there are 2 paid ad campaigns targeting this exact keyword phrase. The more paid (adwords on Google) campaigns that target your keyword phrase, the better. "Why" you may ask?
Well, if people are paying for ads...they are more than likely making money, even after their ad expense, but you will be there free! I will show you how you can use Keyword Elite to figure out how many Adwords campaigns there are for your keywords in part 2 of this article.

In part 2 of this article, I will show you exactly how to write your articles and blog entries in order to get the maximum benefit out of each of them.
